이 글은 초등학교 저학년을 위해 기획된 옛이야기 단원 수업을 위한 방법을 구안하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 수업 안내, 학습 동기 촉진을 위한 질문들, 학습 목표들을 논의하였다. 그런 다음 옛이야기 수업을 위한 교수-학습 전략들을 ``옛이야기 정의하기``, ``옛이야기의 특징 파악하기``, ``이야기 유형 혹은 이형의 개념 이해하기``, ``옛이야기 다시 말하기``, ``삽화가 이야기를 ``말하는`` 방법 이해하기``, ``옛이야기에 표현된 보편적 정서 인식하기`` 등과 같은 여섯 가지 교실 활동들을 통해 살펴보았다.

This paper designated the method for the old tale unit lesson planned for the lower grades of the elementary school. For this, the researcher examined the lesson guidance, questions for the promotion of learning motive, learning objective. And then, examined the instruction strategies for the old tale lesson through six classroom activities of ``defining the old tale``, ``grasping the feature of the old tale``, ``understanding the story pattern notion or version notion``, ``re-telling the ols tale``, understanding the method that illustration ``tells`` the story``, ``recognizing the universal emotion expressed in the old tale``.
