Abstract

NKH에 의해 유발된 경련발작은 운동성 부분 발작 또는 지속성 부분 간질로 발현하는 경우가 흔하며, 전신 경련성간질 지속증으로 발현하는 경우는 드물다. 저자들은 기존에 당뇨병을 진단받지 않았던 환자가 NKH와 동반된 전신 경련성 간질 지속증으로 내원했던 예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Seizure is one of the manifestations of nonketotic hyperglycemia (NKH). Partial motor seizures are observed in most cases and, occasionally, with epilepsia partialis continua. Generalized convulsive status epilepticus caused by NKH is rare. In this report, we present a case of a 68-year-old man who developed generalized convulsive status epilepticus as an initial manifestation of NKH. (Korean J Med 2011;81:508-511)
