나주 복암리 목간은 610년 무렵에 작성된 백제의 유물이다. 백제의 都城이 아닌 지방사회에서 생산되고 소비된 목간으로서 그간 집중적인 조명을 받았으므로, 지금까지 밝혀진 부분과 앞으로 해명해야 할 연구 과제를 짚어보고자 한다. 목간 2는 판독에 어려움이 있으나 正丁, 婦를 확인할 수 있다. 이 목간은 친족관계 호칭과 연령등급이 나오므로 백제 지방사회의 친족 구성을 살필 수 있는 획기적인 자료이다. 戶籍類를 작성하는 방식과 절차도 이를 통해서 복원할 수 있을 것이다. 목간 1은 판독에 큰 이견이 없다. 出背者의 실체와 그들을 감독·포획한 監이 어느 관부 소속인지가 밝혀져야 한다. 목간 3은 앞면과 뒷면의 기록이 어떤 관계를 맺고 있는지가 중요하다. 이를 통해서 복암리 지역의 행정체계와 인력 동원방식을 고찰할 수 있다. 某毛羅와 前巷의 위치, 낮은 관등을 먼저 쓴 이유도 밝혀져야 한다. 목간 4는 완형으로 발견된 최대의 목간이라는 점, 몇 글자의 판독에 대한 이견 때문에 용도와 내용 파악에 어려움이 있다. 백제의 基準尺이 얼마였고, 이것이 지방의 문서행정에 어떻게 적용되었는지 규명되어야 한다. 뒷면의 내용 파악도 미진한 상태이다. 목간 5 역시 앞·뒷면의 관련성 파악이 내용 이해에서 관건이 된다. 뒷면의 ``在``자가 분명하다면 이 목간은 豆?城 휘하의 촌락에서 인력과 축력을 동원하여 어떤 토지를 경작한 결과를 기록한 것이다. 이 목간에서는 밭에서 어떤 작물을 재배했는지, 形의 면적이 어느 정도인지가 앞으로 밝혀야 할 과제이다.

The wooden tablets of Bogam-ri site are relics of Baekje made out in 610 A.D. Being produced in local society let many scholars have researched that material. It`s time to review the results and subjects of the former researches. Even though tablet 2 has a few vague letters, it is clear that it has the letter "正丁" and "婦". That must be a important material which can give clues to investigate the composition of kinship in Baekje society. Because the name of relatives and the age rank were written on that. There are little different view on the reading of tablet 1. It should be brightened what the "出背者" are and which office "監"s controlling and supervising them are belong to. For tablet 3, the relation of front face and its back is important. The administral system and the way of labor mobilization can be studied through it. The location of "某毛羅" "前巷" and the reason the lower grades are, the forer they written are cleared, also. There are some difficulties to examine tablet 4 which is the longest one among those discovered so far and various opinions of reading on several letters. To understand its contents and usage, it is necessary to clear how much long the standard scale was and how it was used in document administration in local societies. Even if there are many confusing factors in tablet 5, it can be told that this one has contents that the people and a cow of the village under the control of "豆?城" were mobilized and worked on the land to cultivate some crops, on the condition that character ``在`` is sure. And the subjects of this tablet are which crops were raised in this farm and how much "形" was wide in Baekje society.
