HOLLAND Career Search Inventory on job type and career was tested with 4th year(60) students of civil engineering department, Chungbuk National University. The results of HOLLAND aptitude test have a distribution of Realistic type (41%), Social(23%), Enterprising( 13%), Conventional( 12%), Investigative(6%) and Artistic (5%). 70% of the students were categorized in three types(Realistic, Social, Investigative types), which are essential requirements for civil engineer. This group of students could follows in general career program. However, the student group of Enterprising, Conventional and Artistic type need specialized career advise based on their individual characteristics. Although the limited number of students, this study figures out a group of students who needs a career consulting, this study provide a core data to the department of civil engineering which enable the department to provide a specified career advice to students based on their personality.
