이 글은 질적연구의 최근 이론화 주제로 부상한 대안적 글쓰기와 관련하여 가장 많이 강조되고 있는 문학적 표현양식들을 소개하고자 하였다. 우리나라에서 이 분야에 대한 소개와 탐구 작업이 없었다는 점에서 문화적 표현양식이 무엇을 뜻하는지 그리고 어떠한 방법들이 이 영역에 속하는지를 규명하고자 하였다. 이에 대표적인 표현방식을 간주되는 네가지의 표현방식들을 선정하여 각 방법들의 의미와 역할을 설명하였고 어떤 연구들이 있어왔는지를 정리하였다: (1)시; (2)연극; (3)소설: 그리고 (4)자서전. 연구를 통하여 각 표현양식들에 대한 연구작업들 그리고 그러한 노력들이 질적연구의 글쓰기와 표현에 있어서 어떤 기여를 하였는지 그리고 할 수 있는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 각 해당분야에 속하는 작품들을 요약하여 정리하였고 그러한 표현방식이 질적자료의 표현과 결과의 묘사에 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지를 대표 작품에 대한 분석을 통하여 기술하였다. 새로운 글쓰기의 방법들로서 인정되고 있는 문학적 표현장치들에 대한 이해와 접목은 우리나라의 질적연구의 이론화 그리고 확산에 다양한 방식으로 기여할 것으로 생각된다.

The purpose of this study was to introduce and discuss the literary forms of writing as the new discourse in qualitative research. The liteary forms of writing are being considered as alternative writing strategies in qualitative research as the idea of blurred genre and crossover has been intensified. ineducational field. Qualitative researchers began to think that such forms would enable them to more effectively make the qualitative data and text more readable and persuasive. With the purpose, four literary forms were discussed and explained: (1)poem; (2)drama; (3)novel; and (4)autoethnography. In order to make each form understandable, the definition and roles of each form in qualitative writing were explained. Also, examples of qualitatvie research which literary forms had been applied to were selected respectively in each form area and analyzed to show the features and liteary devices of each form wre concreticized in the example.
