본 연구에서는 테마가 있는 지리 투어 핸드북을 제작하고 이를 활용한 수업 모형인 STCP(Self Tour Conductor Program)을 개발하여, 학생들이 손쉽게 지리 체험 활동을 하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 적용한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 학생들이 주 5일제 수업으로 늘어난 여가 시간을 유익하게 사용할 것으로 기대되며, 지리 투어 핸드북의 사용으로 인해 지리 체험 활동이 쉬워져 학생들은 교실만을 학습 공간으로 여기지 않고 사회 전반적인 장소를 학습 공간으로 삼을 수 있게 되었고 주요 사회 문제들을 학습 과제로 받아들여 자유로운 체험학습이 이루어졌다. 둘째, 학생들이 자연스럽게 테마가 있는 여행이나 도서관, 관공서 등을 방문하여 설문조사나 비디오 촬영을 하는 경험을 자연스럽게 쌓게 되었다. 셋째, 스스로 만들어 보는 셀프 투어 프로그램을 통해 학생들의 창의성이 향상되고 자발적 학습 능력이 신장되었다. 넷째, 다양한 지역 문화 현장을 조사 및 답사하고, 스스로 탐구하여 결과물을 만들고 이것을 수업시간에 발표토록 함으로써 학생들은 다양한 영역에서 지식과 경험을 쌓게 되고, 흥미를 갖고 참여하는 학생중심의 수업이 되었다.

This study aims to make a theme-included geographical tour handbook and to let students do geographical experience activities by developing STCP(Self Tour Conductor Program), Class Model using a theme-included geographical tour handbook. As a result of applying this, I come to the following conclusions. First, I expect students to make useful use of free time increased by five day-class system, and geographical experience activities which becomes easy by using a geographical tour handbook makes students consider most of the public places as well as classrooms as learning places, accept major social problems as learning projects and do free experience class. Second, as students go to theme trip naturally or visit libraries, public facilities and so on, they get to pile up experience survey and video recording naturally. Third, creativities of students get improved and voluntary learning abilities get increased through self-made tour programs. Fourth, by researching and exploring various local culture spots, doing self-studying and presenting this in class, students get to have knowledge in various fields and interestingly participating student-centered classes have come true.
