본 연구에서는 보육시설장들의 다문화가정 영·유아통합보육 경험을 심층적으로 이해하기 위해 근거이론(Strauss & Corbin, 1998)방법을 적용하여 보육시설장들의 현장 경험에 대한 깊이 있는 이해와 실재를 기반으로 하여 귀납적으로 개념과 이론을 추출 및 분석을 통해 수행되었다. 위의 연구문제에 대해 본 연구에서는 현재 어린이집의 원장으로 재직 중인 4명을 대상으로 심층면담을 한 후 근거이론의 절차에 따라 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 8개의 범주, 20개의 하위범주, 50개의 개념이 도출되었다. 이 중 인과적 조건은 ``통합보육에 관한 개인적, 국가적 관심부족`` 이였고, 중심현상은 ``통합보육수행의 어려움``이었다. 이 현상에 영향을 미치는 맥락적 조건은 ``다문화 가정의 대 내외적 갈등상황`` 이었으며, 중심현상에 대해 작용·상호작용 전략을 촉진시키거나 억제하는 방향으로 영향을 끼치는 중재적 조건은 ``전문가 및 주위 지지자들의 협력`` 이었다. 작용·상호작용 전략은 ``시대적 흐름에 따른 대처 인식``, ``시설장으로서의 긍정적, 적극적 태도``, ``시설장으로서의 방관한 태도`` 이었으며, 결과는 ``통합사회 실현의 기초로서 다문화아동 포용``으로 나타났다. 다문화가정 영유아에 관해 통합 교육 운영과정에 관한 과정은 ``다문화 유아동`` 통합보육의 도입의 단계``, ``직무수행의 어려움의 단계``, ``변화에 대처하는 단계``, ``바람직한 발전의 단계``의 4단계로 분석되었다. 선택코딩에서 핵심범주는 ``다문화 통합보육 수행의 어려움 이겨 나가기``로 나타났으며, 핵심범주를 중심으로 지속적으로 나타나는 범주들 간의 관련성을 나타나는 유형은 ``적극적 대처형``, ``소극적 수용형``, ``방관형`` 으로 분석되었다.

The experience of principal about multicultural nurture in child care facilities should be analyzed to understand deeply about multi cultural education in child care facilities. To achieve the purpose of this study, 4 participants are selected from the principal of child care facilities located in Kyonggi province. Semi-structured interview and in-depth interview were conducted. As a result, 50 concepts are extracted from open coding. 20 sub-categories are established from integration of the 50 concepts. 8 categories from abstraction of 20 sub-categories are established, and the suggestions as follows. First, integrated education is necessary to change the awareness of not only public but also multicultural families about multiculturalism. Second, education of principals and teachers should be carried out continuously, and variously. Third, integrated program should be developed considering child development related to multiculturalism. Forth, support system should be established to train quality professional who understand multiculturalism. Fifth, systematic government support should be established when managing child care facilities.
