본 연구는 국내기업을 대상으로 활동 중인 전문코치의 주요역량 규명을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 (사)한국코치협회와 국제코치연맹(ICF)의 전문코치인증 자격을 취득하고 현재 국내에서 활동 중인 전문코치 17명을 대상으로 3차에 걸친 델파이 연구를 진행하였다. 연구결과, 전문코치의 주요역량군은 코칭철학의 이해, 커뮤니케이션 스킬, 코칭 프로세스 관리, 성과관리 등 4가지 영역으로 구분되었으며, 각 역량군에 따른 세부역량은 다양성 존중, 신뢰 구축, 책임감, 자기성찰, 코칭 윤리 준수, 경청 스킬, 질문 스킬 등 총 18가지로 분석되었다. 이는 ICF의 코칭역량모델(11개역량)에서 제시한 태도나 스킬 중심 역량을 포괄할 뿐만 아니라, 요약(정리)스킬, 코칭 진단도구 활용스킬, 시간관리 스킬 등 7가지 역량을 추가로 분석하였으며, 특히 국내 기업 실정에서 강조하고 있는 성과관리 역량군과 그에 따른 세부역량 5가지를 도출하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 하나의 전문분야로 구축된 외부 전문코치의 주요역량과 그에 따른 세부역량을 제시함으로써 전문코치의 역량진단 및 평가, 육성을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다. 또한 기업 내 증대되고 있는 전문코치의 효율적 활용에 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to identify professional coach`s competencies in Korea. In the study, a three-round delphi method was conducted with 17 certified professional coaches who achieved from KCA(Korea Coach Association) or ICF(International Coach Federation). The result of this study showed that the four domains of professional coach`s competency were divided into understanding of coaching philosophy, communication skill, coaching process management, and performance management. In addition, the 18 required subordinate competencies related to the domain were drawn such as respecting diversity, confidence-building, a sense of responsibility, self-examination, coaching ethics-observance, listening skills and question skills above this. These foundings included not only core competencies in coach`s skill and attitude elicited by ICF coaching competency model but also performance management domain and it`s subdomains emphasized by korean companies today. The results of this study are expected to be a standard of professional coach`s competencies. In addition, the results can to be used as the primary data for developing professional coach`s competencies and to provide implications of foresting and utilizing their competencies.
