본 연구는 1주기 유치원 평가와 관련하여 제주지역 공립유치원의 평가실시 교원의 인식을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 통해 컨설팅 및 교육자료의 기초로 활용하며 나아가 평가지표 개선을 위한 자료로 활용하고자 2009년 평가대상 유치원(초등학교 병설유치원 한 학급 유치원)의 교원을 중심으로 중요도와 실행도를 조사하였다. 조사결과, 교육과정 영역을 중요하게 생각하고 잘 실행하고 있었으나, 평가의 적절성 항목이 다른 항목에 비해 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났고, 건강영양안전영역의 안전관리 적절성 항목은 교원 경력에 따라 중요도와 실행도간에 차이를 보임으로써 신규교원 대상의 안전교육 강화 및 경력교사의 도움을 받아 안전관리가 이루어질 수 있도록 해야함을 볼 수 있었다.

This study surveyed recognition on importance and performance of kindergarten evaluation in the national level targeting 65 public-kindergarten teachers and directors in Jeju region. As a result, First, they positively recognized in a sense of enhancement in quality of curriculum, and negatively recognized heavy task caused by preparation for evaluation. Second, they were indicated to fail to perform as much as a level of recognizing it to be important in 13 items of 4 spheres. Third, the low level of performance was shown in ``record and utilization of recording preschool children`s developmental situations``, ``Curriculum and Evaluation execution and product application``, ``suitability of outdoor setting``, ``teaching material`s systematic administrator and charge``, ``suitability of Health·Nutrition·Safety`` Accordingly, there will be necessity for being improved so that flexible evaluation index can be applied according to facility type, class scale, and teacher career.
