본 연구는 중등학생들의 성취목표 동기유형과 창의적 사고력, 창의적 인성간의 상관관계를 알아보고, 성취목표 동기유형별로 창의적 사고력과 창의적 인성을 얼마나 설명하는지를 검증해 보려고 한다. 또한 4분법적인 성취목표 동기에 대해 군집분석을 실시하여 학생들의 반응이 가장 많은 6가지 유형으로 분류될 수 있었으며. 이들 집단 간에 창의적 사고력이나 창의적 인성에 대해 의미 있는 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 중·고등학생 492명에게 창의적 사고력. 창의적 인성, 성취목표 동기검사를 실시하고 자료를 수집한 뒤 상관관계, 중다 회귀분석, 분산분석과 사후검증을 실시하였다. 상관관계를 분석해본 결과 성취목표 동기와 창의적 사고력과는 의미 있는 상관이 없었다. 한편 창의적 인성하위요인에서 "유머"만 제외하고 나머지 7개요인과 창의적 인성 합계는 의미 있는 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 숙달 회피 동기는 호기심, 개방성과 상관이 있고, 수행접근 동기는 호기심, 자기 확신, 인내, 유머와 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 수행회피는 부적으로 상관이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 회귀분석 결과 수행접근 동기는 창의적 사고력의 하위요인 독창성만을 유일하게 설명해주는 요인으로 나타났다. 창의적 인성하위요인 유머를 제외하고. 7개요인과 창의적 인성합계를 설명해 주는 요인은 숙달접근 동기로 가장 유의미하게 설명력이 높은 동기 유형이었다. 수행회피는 자기 확신, 유머, 모험심, 창의적 인성 합계를 부적으로 유의미한 설명력이 있었으며, 수행 접근 동기는 독립심을 부적으로 유의미하게 설명해주고 있다. 성취목표 동기를 6가지 유형의 집단으로 구분하여 집단 간의 창의적 사고력의 평균점수의 차이를 검증한 결과 창의적 사고력 하위요인 점수와 합계 점수는 의미 없는 점수를 나타냈다. 6가지 동기 집단 간의 창의적 인성 합계와는 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 창의적 인성 하위요인 점수에서는 상상력과 유머를 제외하고 나머지 6개의 하위인성 점수 간에 의미 있는 차이가 있었다.

The purposes of this study are to investigate the relationships between creative thinking ability, creative personality, and achievement goal motivation theory and to confirm the relative predictive power of motivation variables in predicting students` creative thinking ability, creative personality. The instruments used in this study were ``Torrance Test of Creativity Thinking(TTCT)``,``Creative Personality Scale and ``2x2 achievement goal orientation scale. Self-reported response data on these instruments from 492 students in secondary school were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 program. The core of the new conceptualization lies in two dimension of goal orientation: orienting content(mastery vs performance) and orienting attitude(approach vs avoidance). Four goal orientations such as of mastery-approach, mastery-avoidance, performance-approach, performance-avoidance were defined according to the new conceptualization. The results of this study were as follows; first, achievement goal orientation had significant positive correlations with creative thinking ability, creative personality. second, mastery-approach is the best predictor of creativity among the motivation types in secondary school students. And performance-approach was the second significant predictor of creativity. third, six groups, by using the clustering analysis, has significant mean difference in creative personality.
