초소수성과 자기 세정 능력을 가지는 연잎의 나노미세구조를 분석관찰하고 그 메카니즘을 규명하였다. 전자현미경으로 표면의 마이크로 돌기와 나노 솜털을 관찰하고 아들이 초소수성과 어떻게 관계하는지를 조사 하였다. 연잎이 갖는 초소수성을 재현하기 위하여 프로필렌과 자일렌을 이용하여 단분자 코팅막을 만들고 그 특성을 관찰하였다.

We investigated the nanostructure and microstructure of lotus leaves that has hydrophobic and self-cleaning ability. We observed the micro-protrusion and nano-lanugo on the surface of lotus leaves. We investigated the effect of microstructure of lotus leaves on the properties. We attempted to fabricate hydrophobic surface by coating with i-polypropylene, and xylene.
