한국무용사에서 궁중정재와 관련하여 효명세자라는 인물은 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 왕도 아닌 순조의 시기 대리청정을 하던 세자의 신분으로 3년 4개월의 짧은 기간 동안 5차례의 연회를 거행한다. 이에 정치적인 이유로써만이 아니라 개인의 의식과 무의식과의 관계성을 통한 대상 관계이론이라는 심리적 관점을 도입하여 사회와 개인의 연관선상에서 궁중정재의 창제 이유성에 대한 또 다른 관점으로 조명해 보았다. 효명세자는 이상적 대상으로써 왕권강화를 실현하기 위해 궁중정재를 이용하게 된다. 실학사상과 관련하여 궁중정재에 자주적인 예악관이 개입되고 당악정재와 향악정재의 구분이 모호하게 되는 시기가 되는 결과를 도출한다. 그리고 역으로 거부하는 대상으로써 선대 정조와의 비교 및 성군이 되어야 한다는 강박증으로 이해 될 수 있다. 정조보다도 더 효를 표상하고자 한 대상으로써 그리고 효명 자신이 성군임을 보이는 예악적 인물임을 표방하기 위한 대상으로써 궁중정재를 이용하게 된다는 것이다. 마지막으로 효명세자의 예술에 대한 갈망은 흥분시키는 대상이었다. 그러므로 궁중 정재를 통해 효명세자의 욕구를 드러낸다. 이에 근거는 왕권강화가 중요했던 시기이지만 왕권강화의 내용보다는 내용과 형식이 樂, 歌, 戱, 놀이가 혼합되는 양상이 연출되며 다양한 형태의 무대장치, 소품의 적극적인 활용 등 예술적인 모습으로써의 궁중 정재가 발현하게 되는 것이다.
In the history of Korean dance, the figure of Hyo Myoung Crown Prince occupy an important position in reference to the traditional palace dance. As a crown prince govern the country uncrowned in King Soon-Jo, he held 5 performances in a such a short period of time. This study is to shed light from a different point of view not only the political reason, but also the psychological point of view that the object relationship theory through the relationship between the consciousness and unconsciousness of the individual for Korean traditional palace dance`s origination reason by an extension of the society and individuals. As an ideal object, the traditional palace dance is used for the reinforcement of kingship and to realize such an ideal. In reference to the Practical Philosophy, the result that an independent spirit of arts for the traditional palace dance is involved and a period drawn out that the distinction of the traditional palace dance between Chinese music and Korean music is ambiguous. And as the bad object reversely, it could be understood on the comparison with the prior King Jeong-Jo and the obsession he should be a sage King. As an object to represent a filial piety more than King Jeong-Jo and claim as the artistic figure to show him as sage King, he used the traditional palace dance. Finally, the desire for art of Hyo-Myeong crown prince was the exciting destination. Therefore, Hyo-Myeong crown prince had a strong desire with the royal court event. Because the royal authority consolidation was important in that period but it was played a mixed pattern of the content and format 樂, 歌, 戱. By using various types of stage equipments & props, it was manifested as an artistic shape.
