이 글은 『조선출판경찰월보』(1928~1938)에 왜 ``지나``가 메타범주로 두어졌는지에 관한 것이다. 『월보』에서 차압된 해외이수입물의 대다수는 언어가 중국어인, 혹은 발행지가 중국인 출판물들이었다. 또한 참고할 내용으로 제시된 자료는 대개 중국에 대한 이해를 위한 것이었다. 게다가 1931년 만주사변과 1937년 중일전쟁 발발을 기점으로 대량 생성된 ``지나`` 관련 범주들은, 『월보』의 전체 분량과 내용에 영향을 미쳤다. 이 글은 검열의 안정기에 방대한 분량으로 발간된 조선총독부 도서과의 비밀기록 『월보』를 중국이라는 존재를 통해 보고자 한다. 여기에 확장일로에 들어선 일본 제국주의가 기실 그 자신의 상이한 법역으로 인해 곤란을 겪는 상황이 드러난다. 이 글은 이것이 바로 ``검열이 없다(고 생각한다)면 오히려 희망이 없다``던 식민지의 현실이지 않았을까 생각했다. 그리고 이를 제국의 권력 안에 있으되 밖을 꿈꾸었을 식민지인의 역능을 살펴볼 계기로 삼고자 했다. 요컨대 조선의 식민권력은 만주국 건설을 위시한 일본 제국주의의 보다 큰 기획 속에서 조선을 이해하고자 하면서, 동시에 식민지 조선인에게는 철저히 그로부터 ``무지``할 것을 강요했다는 것이다. 이 글은 『월보』의 중국이수입물의 존재에서 엿볼 수 있듯, 그러한 일 국가를 넘어서는 정치적 수행이 역으로 식민지인들에 자신에 의해 이루어지고 있었을 가능성을 살피고자 했다.

This article is about why ``Shina`` puts the metacategory in The Publication Police Monthly of Korea(1928~1938). Most of attached overseas` imported texts in The Publication Police Monthly of Korea are written by Chinese and the origin place is from China. Moreover, most of contents for reference are for understanding of China. In addition, The Publication Police Monthly of Korea was produced the category regarding ``Shina`` started from Manchurian Incident in 1931 and Second Sino-Japanese War in 1937. It suggests that this article can be found secret record of The Publication Police Monthly of Korea which was published huge volume of from the Book Department of the Police Bureau under the Government-General of Korea through China in the plateau period of censorship. In this part, imperialism of Japan was experienced the trouble of different territorial outside from Japan for its extension of area to other states. Hence, this article insisted the power of colonists placed in the inside of imperialism`s power. That is, it shows that if there is no censorship, then there is no hope which is the reality of colony. Namely speaking, a power of colonization forced Chosun people(Korean) to be ignorant and simultaneously understood Chosun within the plan designed by imperialism of Japanese commencing the construction of Dynasty Manchu. As forcing those things are contradictory to Asianism such as Nae-sun-il-chae which means Chosun and Japan are one country, and Ideal of Manchu such as O-jok-hyup-hwa which means five states are dreamed about peace as cooperating each other. Those political performances over a boundary of state can be on the lookout for The Publication Police Monthly of Korea in imported texts from China and can be presumed that colonists draw a picture themselves or tended to draw the possibility of that.
