감은사지 쌍탑과 고선사지 삼층석탑은 신라 전형석탑의 시원형식으로 분류되는 중요한 석탑이다. 이 논문은 지금까지 동시기에 비슷한 규모로 건립된 석탑으로 간주되고 있는 두 절터의 석탑을 비교분석하여 각 탑의 건립순서와 이에 따른 변화양상을 고찰하였다. 먼저 석탑건축에 사용된 석재의 수량과 그 실측치를 비교분석한 결과 세 석탑의 석재 수량이 모두 동일하고, 각부의 크기가 오차범위에서 일치하여 두 절터의 석탑은 동일한 설계에 따라 건립되었음이 확인되었다. 이것은 세 석탑이 동일 조탑집단에 의해 축조되었을 가능성을 보여주는 근거가 된다. 그리고 세 석탑의 결구방식과 내부구조를 분석한 결과 감은사지 동탑 건축에서 있었던 시행착오들이 감은사지 서탑과 고선사지 석탑에서 점차 개선되는 추세를 보이는 것으로 밝혀져 각 석탑의 건립순서를 추정하는 단서가 되었다. 결구방식에서 주목한 부분은 상층기단 면석 짜임이다. 감은사지 동탑 상층기단의 불규칙한 석재로 구성된 면석짜임은 서탑과 고선사지 석탑에서 점차 규칙적인 짜임으로 발전한다. 감은사지 쌍탑 내부의 사리공은 찰주공과 연이어 굴착하는 방식으로 찰주의 고정과 사리기의 보존에 불합리한 구조이다. 이와 비교하여 고선사지 석탑은 찰주공과 사리공을 서로 분리하여 굴착함으로써 점차 합리적인 구조로 진전되었음을 보여준다. 이러한 변화는 사리기의 보존에 유리한 구조로 발전했음을 의미하며, 이와 같은 변화는 감은사지 쌍탑 3층옥개석에서 보였던 배수시설이 고선사지 석탑에 이르러 생략되는 결과로 이어졌다고 볼 수 있다. 결과적으로 세 석탑의 세부 구조와 의장의 변화양상은 감은사지 동탑이 먼저 건립된 이후 서탑이 건립되었고, 이후 감은사지 석탑의 설계를 그대로 적용하여 고선사에 석탑이 건립되었음을 보여준다. 그리고 세 석탑의 결구방식과 내부구조의 변화는 앞서 건립된 석탑의 불합리한 구조를 점차 개선하는 방향으로 진행되었음을 확인할 수 있다.

Twin Pagodas in Gameun temple site and Three story stone pagoda in Gosun temple site are very important stone pagodas classified the original form of a typical stone pagoda in Silla This paper say to the order of being made pagodas and its change after comparing and analyzing pagodas, assumed similar size and about the same time, in two temple site. First, They are same to the number of stone used to be made three pagodas, to the size stone with the margin of error. so three pagodas of two temple sites are identified as same plan. this fact says that three pagodas are able to be made by same group. and the construction method and the internal structure of them are getting better on the list east stone pagoda in Gameun temple site, west stone pagoda in Gameun temple site and stone pagoda in Gosun temple site. This paved the way for their building time. The stone system of the upper stylobate are a noteworthy part of the construction method. The upper stylobate of east stone pagoda in Gameun temple site varies to the stone system. but it of wast stone pagoda in Gameun temple site and of pagoda in Gosun temple site are developed regularly. Second, the Sarira hole of twin pagoda in Gamuen temple site is side by side with the ChalJu hole. This is not good to fix the ChalJu and to preserve the Sarira reliquary. but the Sarira hole of the stone pagoda in Gosun temple site made different position off ChalJu hole. this change mean an advanced model as preserve the Sarira reliquary also that three story roof stone of Twin pagoda in Gamuen temple site has water distribution system but not pagoda in Gosun temple site. As a result, through design and structure of Three stone pagodas, east stone pagoda in Gameun temple site is built first of them, next west stone pagoda in Gameun temple site since then stone pagoda in Gosun temple site is built to apply the plan of stone pagodas in Gameun temple site. and construction method and inner structure of them have changed directions to be remedy earlier stone pagoda`s shortcomings, irrational structure.
