본고는 ``연행의 문화사``라는 주제의 학술회의에서 기조 강연으로 발표했던 것이다. 이 학술회의에서 거론의 대상이 된 시기는 17~19세기였다. 연행은 중국을 중심으로 한 전통적인 동아시아 세계에서 국제외교의 행위이며, 이 연행의 상관 기록물로 연행록이 씌어진 것이다. 연행과 연행록을 고찰하는데 기본시각을 제공해 보려는 의도를 본고는 담고 있다. 17~19세기 동아시아 상황을``흔들린 조공질서``로 인식하는 입장이다. 그리고 문제를 일국사적 시야를 넘어서 동아시아적 차원에서 해명하려는 것이 본고가 취한 방향이다.

My essay was presented as a keynote address in the academic conference, "Cultural history of Yonhaeng", focusing on the era of 17~19c. Yonhaeng, an envoy to Qing Dynasty, is an traditional diplomatic channel in the East Asian classical-Chinese cultural sphere, and Yonhaengrok is the relevant documents of it. For provocative and diverse studies about it and its documents, I attempt to present common and basic concepts of "Stirring Tribunal System" from 17th century to 19century in this essay. Also, as my essay, issues about Yeon-haeng and tribunal system shall be analyzed in East Asian perspectives, beyond a national history.
