본 연구의 목적은 통합체육 환경 내의 특수교육지원대상학생들에게도 일반학생들과 마찬가지로 체력증진을 위한 학생건강체력평가시스템(Physical Activity Promotion System: PAPS) 적용이 가능한지를 검증하는데 있다. 본 연구의 연구방법으로는 일반 중·고등학교에 재학 중인 특수교육지원대상학생 141명과 관련 전문가들을 대상으로 학생건강체력평가시스템(PAPS) 적용에 관한 체력요인별 종목 선정, 타당도 검증, 신뢰도 검증, 전문가 의견 수렴을 실시하였다. 그 결과를 종합해보면, 첫째, PAPS 매뉴얼 분석 및 pilot test를 실시하여 체력 요인별 적용 가능한 세부종목을 선정하였다. 둘째, 선정된 세부종목의 내용타당도, 준거타당도 검증을 실시하여 타당성을 확보하였다. 셋째, 선정된 세부종목의 검사자간 신되도 검증을 실시하여 신뢰성을 확보하였다. 넷째, 전문가 의견 수렴을 통한 PAPS 적용 가능성을 확보하였고 특수교육지원대상의 개인적 특성에 따른 단계적 적용방안을 구안하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 특수교육지원대상학생들의 개인별 건강체력 요소에 적합한 PAPS 적용방안을 마련하고 학생들의 건강체력 증진 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 시스템을 확보하고자 한다. 향후 과제로는 학생건강체력평가시스템(PAPS) 매뉴얼 내에 특수교육지원대상학생들도 모두 포함하여 활용할 수 있는 내용을 보완·개정할 수 있도록 다각적인 연구활동이 이루어져야할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to examine whether the physical activity promotion system(PAPS) currently applied to nondisabled students would be applicable to students in special education support in inclusive physical education setting to improve their physical fitness. The subjects in this study were 141 regular secondary school students in special education support. This study was implemented in the following procedure: the selection of events for each physical fitness factor for the application of the PAPS, validity verification, reliability verification and opinion gathering from experts. First, after the PAPS manual was analyzed, a pilot test was conducted to select possible events linked to each physical fitness factor. Second, the content validity and criterion-related validity of the selected events were verified to guarantee the validity of the events. Third, the interexaminer reliability of the events was checked to ensure their reliability. Fourth, the PAPS was thought to be applicable when the experts were asked to give their opinions, and how to apply it to students in special education support step by step according to their personal characteristics was mapped out. This study attempted to seek ways of applying the PAPS to students in need of special education support in a manner to be appropriate for their individual physical fitness factors, and to prepare a system geared toward improving their physical fitness as much as possible. In the future, research efforts should be directed from diverse angles into modifying the PAPS manual in order to apply it to students in special education support.
