본 연구의 목적은 초등 교사의 체육교과 영역에 적합한 교수 스타일의 선호도 분석이다. 연구 대상은 D광역시 5, 6학년 담당 초등교사 152명과 D교대 4학년 교육실습생 167명이며, 자료 수집 방법은 설문조사로 하였다. 자료 분석 및 처리는 주성분 분석(principal components analysis), 베리맥스(Varimax)방법을 사용한 직각회전(orthogonal rotation) 방법을 적용하였고, 독립표본 t검증 및 교차 분석(χ2)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는, 첫째, 초등학교 체육교과 교수 스타일의 요인을 분석하기 위해서 총 34문항을 개발하였다. 둘째, 연습형, 상호학습형, 유도형, 자기설계형 교수 스타일은 남자 교사가 많이 사용하였고, 지시형과 연습형 교수 스타일에서 예비 교사가 더 선호 했으며, 포괄형 교수 스타일은 현직교사가 많이 사용하였다. 셋째, 지시형 교수 스타일에 적합한 영역으로 남교사는 보건활동, 여교사는 체력활동을, 현직 교사는 육상활동, 예비 교사는 보건활동을 선호하는 것으로 나타났지만, 자기 설계형 교수 스타일은 남교사 게임활동, 여교사 표현활동을, 현직 교사는 체력활동, 예비 교사는 표현활동을 선호하였다. 포괄형 교수 스타일에서 현직 교사는 표현활동, 예비 교사는 게임활동을, 수렴발견형 교수 스타일에서 현직 교사는 표현활동, 예비 교사는 체조활동을, 확산발견형 교수 스타일에서 현직교사는 표현활동, 예비 교사는 게임활동을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to search for preferences in the appropriate physical education area in the elementary school physical education teachers` teaching styles. In order to achieve this research purpose, the research objects were 152 teachers working in the D City elementary schools teaching the 5th and the 6th graders and 167 interns, seniors attending the D Education University. A survey was conducted. For data analysis and processing, the Principal Components Analysis method was used to analyze the base structure factors were searched. By using the Varimax method, the Orthogonal Rotation method was used to analyze the final factors. Additionally, to analyze the differences between the teaching styles of the physical education teachers depending on the teacher background variables, independent sample t test was conducted. In order to analyze the preferences in the appropriate physical education area in the elementary school physical education teachers` teaching styles, cross-analysis (X2)wasconducted.Theresultoftheresearchisasfollows. Frist, analyze the factors of the elementary school teachers` physical education teaching styles, total of 34 questions were created after checking the face validity, content validity, and factor validity. Second, in the difference in teaching styles according to the gender of the teachers of physical education teachers, the practice type, cross-training type, induction type, and self-designed type teaching styles were shown more in the male teachers rather than female teachers. In instructions type and practice type teaching styles were shown more in the trainee teachers rather than current teachers. Comprehensive type teaching style was shown more in the trainee teachers rather than the current teachers. Thirdly, according to the analyzed results on preferences in the appropriate physical education area in the elementary school physical education teachers` teaching styles, in the teaching-type style of instruction in education area, male teachers preferred health activities and female teachers preferred physical activity. The current teachers preferred land activities while trainee teachers preferred health activities. But for the physical education area appropriate for self-design type teaching style, the male teachers preferred game activities, female teachers preferred expressive activities, current teachers preferred physical activities, and trainee teachers preferred expressive activities. Especially, for the physical education area appropriate for comprehensive teaching style type, the current teachers preferred expressive activities and the trainee teachers preferred game activities and in the physical education area appropriate for convergence discovery teaching style, the current teachers preferred expressive activities and the trainee teachers preferred the gym activities. Additionally for the physical education area appropriate for diffusion-found-type style, the current teachers preferred expressive activities and the trainee teachers preferred the game activities.
