본 연구에서는 저소득 아동 및 청소년을 대상으로 수행한 멘토링의 과정과 성과의 구체적인 내용을 멘티, 멘토, 멘티부모, 실무자라는 다양한 멘토링 참여주체들의 관점에서 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2009년 송파구 멘토링 사업에 참여한 멘티, 멘토, 멘티부모 등 총 28명을 대상으로 한 심층면접과 실무를 담당한 6개 기관의 실무자들이 참여한 초점집단면접 내용을 투입-전환-성과라는 일반체계이론의 틀에 따라 질적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 투입 과정에서 1) 멘티, 2) 멘토, 3) 멘티부모, 4) 멘티-멘토 연계의 4범주에서 12개 개념이, 전환 과정에서 1) 멘토링 활동, 2) 참여자 간 상호작용, 3) 멘토링에 대한 자세의 3범주에서 33개 개념이 도출되었으며, 멘토링의 성과로 1) 멘티, 2) 멘토, 3) 멘티부모 및 가정의 3범주에서 14개 개념이 도출되었다. 분석결과를 토대로 사회복지 실천현장에서의 아동·청소년 멘토링 활성화와 효과성 향상 방안을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the outcome and the process of a mentoring program for the children and adolescents of low income families. In-depth interviews with 28 individuals (mentees, mentors, and mentee`s parents) and a focus group interview with 6 facilitators who participated in 2009 Songpa-gu Mentoring Program were analyzed based on the framework of General System Theory. As the result, 12 concepts from 4 sub-categories(mentee, mentor, mentee`s parents, and mentee-mentor pairing) were derived as input, 33 concepts from 3 sub-categories (mentoring activities, interaction among participants, attitude to participating mentoring) were derived as throughput, and 14 concepts from 3 sub-categories(mentee, mentor, and mentee`s parents and family) were derived as outcome. Based on the results, discussions and suggestions regarding invigoration of mentoring programs and improving effectiveness of them in social work practice were made.
