이 연구는 김수영의 시에 나타난 ‘돈’ 및 돈 관련 어휘의 목록을 작성하고 이를 바탕으로 그 양상과 의미를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 전개되었다. 김수영의 시 178편 중에서 돈 및 돈 관련 어휘가 등장하는 시는 총 36편이다. 이는 김수영 시의 약 20%에 해당한다. 돈 및 돈과 관련된 어휘의 출현 빈도를 모두 합하면 126회이다. 이와 같이 돈 및 돈 관련 어휘들이 많이 등장하는 것은 김수영 시의 독특한 현상이다. 김수영의 시에서 돈의 문제가 전면에 부각되어 있는 작품으로는 「거리2」, 「만용에게」, 「돈」, 「이혼 취소」, 「판문점의 감상」등을 들 수 있다. 「이혼 취소」, 「판문점의 감상」은 채권 채무 관계에서 발생한 문제와 그 문제로 인한 인간관계의 어긋남을 통해, 돈에 대한 믿음이 무너지고 화폐 신뢰의 기반이 되는 성향들이 약화될 때 느끼는 통렬한 비애를 잘 드러내고 있다. 한편 「장시1」의 “가정을 알려면 돈을 떼여보면 돼”라는 구절은 그 통렬한 비애의 핵심을 묘파하고 있다. 「만용에게」와 「美濃印札紙」는 동일한 화폐의 양이 큰 재산의 일부일 때와 작은 재산의 일부일 때의 차이를 보여주고 있다. 이는 곧 돈의 소유자의를 둘러싼 상황이 돈을 사용할 수 있는 기회와 자유에 깊이 관여하는 양상이 된다. 「돈」은 ‘돈’을 바로 보려는 노력의 일환이다. 30원의 여윳돈 생기고 며칠 사이에 그것이 나의 소유를 벗어나는 과정에서 빚어지는 일련의 심리를 드러냄으로써 돈 자체를 천착하고 있는데, 이를 통해 “화폐 자체가 사물들의 가치관계의 기계적인 반영이며 모두에게 동일하게 유용한 것이라면, 화폐거래 속에서 모든 개인들은 동등한 가치를 갖게 되는 ‘화폐의 무특징성’”이 드러난다.

This paper aims to make a list of money and money-related vocabulary of Kim Sooyoung`s 178 poems and based on this list, to clarify the pattern and meaning of them. Money and money-related words in Kim Sooyoung`s 178 poems appeared 36 tims. This is approximately 20% of Kim Sooyoung`s poems. The emergence of money and money-related vocabulary is often 126 times. Thus, a lot of money and money-related vocabulary to emerge is a unique phenomenon of Kim Sooyoung`s poetry.
