목적: 노인장기요양보험 시행에 따라 요양보호사를 대상으로 수급자에게 제공하는 지원서비스 중 구강보건에 관한 설문조사를 통해 현재 구강보건관리의 실태를 파악하고 앞으로 양성되는 요양보호사의 구강보건관련 교육의 참고자료를 모색하고자 한다. 연구방법: 2009년 7월 19일부터 11월 20일까지 노인요양보호시설 및 재가 방문요양보호사 130명을 대상으로 수급자가 가철성의치를 장착한 경우만을 선별하여 자기기입식 설문지를 배부하여 최종 122부를 분석하였다. 영역별에 따른 구강보건 인식도 조사를 위해 빈도분석과 교차분석 χ2(p)을 실시하여 집단 간의 차이를 살펴보았다. 연구결과: 요양보호사의 수급자들의 잇솔질 경험에 대한 문항에서 있다가 77.9%(95명)로 가장 많았고, 소독 여부는 불가능이 77%(94명)로 가장 많았다. 치과거부 이유로는 진료비 부담이 가장 많았으며, 요양보호사로서 필요한 치아관리법은 잇몸관리법이 가장 많았다. 결론: 노인장기요양보험 제도가 앞으로 고령화시대에 철저하게 대비하여 배출되는 요양보호사들의 질적인 업무분야의 향상이 요구된다. 특히 노인인구의 80%가 의치에 의존하는 만큼 구강보건에 관하여 치과전문가들을 통한 별도의 추가교육 및 실습이 이루어져 대상자들의 구강환경관리에 더욱 철저한 관리가 필요하다고 사료된다.

Objective: This study grasps the actual condition for the current dental health care by surveying only the part related to dental health among several supportive services, which are performed in their own subjects targeting people who are active now as care-giver according to the enforcement of Long-term Care Insurance System. Thus, the aim is to seek for references in education related to dental health for caregivers, who are trained in the future. Method: It selected only a case with removable denture in subjects that care-givers are managing, targeting 130 care-givers for the elderly care facilities and the facilities for home care from July 19, 2009 to November 20, widely distributed self-reported questionnaire, and finally analyzed 122 copies. To survey recognition of dental health according to sphere, the difference between groups was examined by carrying out frequency analysis and cross tabulation χ2(p). Result: The survey showed that 77.9%(n=95) caregivers are experienced in brushing. Top on the answer of disinfection were impossible. Most people replied that rejection of dental facility were hospital bills. Conclusion: The enhancement in qualitatively task field is required in care-givers who are produced, by which the Long-Term Care Insurance System thoroughly prepares for the aging era in the future. Especially, 80% of the elderly population depend on denture, thereby being considered the necessity for more thoroughly managing dental environmental care in subjects, by which separately additional education and practice are performed through dental professionals regarding dental health.
