This study aims to identify what the integrated aspects in the first grade textbook of the 2007 revision curriculum are in order to integrate grammar and writing desirably. It is noted that school grammar has been criticized for being isolated from students` actual language. The existing form-centered grammar education needs to be changed to the one that contributes itself to increasing learners` capacity of language use. As a solution to this, an integrated education of grammar and writing is being suggested. However, the integration of writing and grammar has been limited only to correcting the errors in sentences so far. A genuine integration of grammar and writing should be realized in the whole course of writing at a discourse or text level beyond a sentence level. This should be made to help learners with their levels of expression, that is, creative writing, beyond levels of comprehension.
