This research explores the common regularity between the principles of Yin and Yang through philosophic ideology. The regularity is immanent in Korean dance and music, which have mutual understanding basically. For this, I focus on Yi, Mae-Bang`s dances, which are Seungmu(monk`s dance), Salpurichum, Yibchum(a dance to naturally move the arms and legs), and Geommu(sword dance), and their dance music. In Yi`s dances, the principles of Yin and Yang appear in the form of Dae Sam So Sam(strong motion & weak motion or big movement & small movement). Most of the rhythm in Yi,-Mae-Bang`s dance is shaman song rhythm(gut-geo-ri-jang-dan). It is basic rhythm when shaman song rhythm consists of a quadruple beat as a whole. In case of the first beat and the second beat, called as Dae Sam(strong motion or big movement), the dance is expressed as positive, daytime, hard, the sun, and the man in the principles of Yin and Yang. In case of the third beat and the fourth beat, called as So Sam(weak motion or small movement), the dance is expressed as negative, night, soft, the moon, and the woman in the principles of Yin and Yang. When we observe the strength and weakness of shaman song rhythm in case of music, the first and the second, the beat is expressed as strength in the form of Dae Sam. In the third and the fourth, the beat is expressed as weakness in the form of So Sam. The above explanation also appears in both Salpuri rhythm and Taryung rhythm. There is a possibility of the basis seeking and being expressed the form of Dae Sam So Sam in breath-derived dance. Extension and contraction is accomplished through breathing - inhaling and exhaling. Adjusting the extension and contraction leads to the continuous movement which does not cut and unify the movement, in order to be connected softly. It does the duty which is the central role. Throughout this inhalation and exhalation, the expression of `the strength` and `weakness` goes round naturally with the principle of circulation, and generates the structure of `Yin and Yang(the positive and negative)` or `Dae Sam So Sam`. Historically, Korean dance has a deep interrelationship with music, and is joined together until recently. It descends like this interrelationship unit, Dae Sam So Sam - the form of the strength and weakness. The philosophical and ideological characteristics are immanent in the positive and negative principles.
