The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between Manuscripts and Block Books in the Late 19th century in Korea. In order to achieve our purpose, we analyzed production process and enjoy process of those, so we obtained the following conclusions. First, Manuscripts are also novels for commercial profit. Of course, all of the manuscripts are not for commercial profit. At Least, if it was distributed via book rental shop, it`s the product for commercial profit and made with difference method. Second, we cannot proved if they sold Manuscripts, but they had sold and rented Block Books in the Late 19th century. Bolck Books could make their consumers to increase via diversification of distribution network. Third, in terms of the process efficiency, Manuscripts and Bolck Books have their own sector. Rent and sale are also have their unique good things. Fourth, we can know that there are two requirements of novel consumers in 19th century via the above results of this research. One is to want to enjoy novels without any Limit about quantity, and the other one is to want to read novels without any Limit of stock. Manusctips and Block Books maximized each advantages, and made novel consumers to increase. This situation was indeedthe foundation of the era of Printed Books.
