본고는 ?翠軒 시의 몇 가지 특징 가운데 詳論의 여지가 있는 네 가지 항목에 대한 연구이다. 그 네 가지는 바로 容齋와의 交遊詩, 醉興과 痛飮의 飮酒詩, 詩題의 長形化, 詩體別 選好 傾向에 대한 것이다. 제2장에서는 교유시 가운데서도 작품 수에 있어서 압도적인 비중을 차지하는 容齋 李荇과의 교유시에 대해 검토해 보았다. 읍취헌이 용재에게 보낸 교유시에는 다양한 감정들이 거리낌 없이 표출되어 있는데 이처럼 인간적이고 진솔한 자기 표현이 가능했던 것은 이들 시의 바탕에 용재에 대한 인간적 신뢰가 자리하고 있었기 때문이다. 제3장에서는 읍취헌의 시에 빈번히 등장하는 음주시에 대해서 고찰했다. 읍취헌에게 있어 술은 흉중의 불평을 잠재우고 위로를 안겨주는 知己였으며, 때로는 흥을 일으켜 현실을 잊게 해주는 忘憂物이었다. 그는 또한 음주를 통해 자신이 꿈꾼 이상 세계와 현실 간의 괴리 내지 간극을 채우고자 했다. 하지만 이것마저도 아내와의 사별 이후에는 그녀와의 추억을 떠올리게 하는 고통스런 대상이 되고 말았다. 이를 통해 읍취헌이 그의 유일한 도피처였던 酒鄕마저도 말년에 가서는 온전히 보존하지 못했음을 확인했다. 제4장에서는 작품 감상에 큰 영향을 주는 시제의 장형화에 대해서 살펴보았다. 시제와 시, 상호 간의 비교를 통해 장형화된 시제가 작품의 내용 전달에 어떤 기능을 하는지를 구체적으로 탐색한 결과, 장형의 시제로 인해 독자가 시적 내용에 더욱 집중하고 몰입할 수 있게 된다는 점을 확인했다. 제5장에서는 읍취헌의 시가 絶句에 비해 古詩와 律詩의 비중이 높고 연작시가 많다는 점에 대해 살펴보았다. 특히 고시, 절구, 율시에 속하는 작품들이 각각 어떤 특징을 보이는지에 주목했다. 이를 통해 읍취헌이 산문적 성향의 인물이며, 모호하게 말하기보다는 자신의 뜻을 빠짐없이 분명하게 표현하고자 했음을 확인했다.

This study is to research into four items that leave detailed discussions while having several characteristics of Eupchuiheon's poem. Those four items include friendship poems with Yongjae, the elongation of the title of a poem, drinking poems of hilarity and heavy drinking, and the tendency to prefer by poetic style. In Chapter 2, the study looked into friendship poems with Yongjae Lee Haeng which marked the absolutely higher portion in the number of works from among the friendship poems. The friendship poems that were sent to Yongjae by Eupchuiheon expressed various emotions without reserve, and such humane and frank self-expressions were possible because there was a humane trust in Yongjae on the basis of those poems. In Chapter 3, the study reviewed poems of drinking alcohol that frequently appeared in Eupchuiheon's poems. To Eupchuiheon, liquor was an appreciative friend that pacified the complaints of the mind and comforted him, and sometimes it was a thing to take him to oblivion that made him forget about reality by making him feel excited. Also, he tried to fill the gap between the ideal world that he had dreamed of and reality through drinking. However, this also became a painful object that reminded him of the memory of his wife after her death. Through this, the study confirmed that Eupchuiheon was unable to preserve even a place of drinking which was his sole shelter, intact in the twilight of his life. In Chapter 4, the study took a look into the elongation of the title of a poem, which affects the appreciation of the work most. As a result of searching how the elongated title of a poem functions in delivering the contents of the poem through a comparison between the title and the poem, in detail, the study confirmed that a reader is able to concentrate on and absorb even more of the poetic contents due to the title of a poem in an elongated form. In Chapter 5, the study looked into the fact that Eupchuiheon's peoms have more old poems and Chinese style poems relative to quatrains, and have many more sequential poems. Specifically, the study focused on which characteristic the works of old poems, quatrains, and Chinese verse style poems show, respectively. From this, the study confirmed that Eupchuiheon was of prose character, and tried to clearly express his desires wholly rather than to state them obscurely through poetic expressions.
