As a large number of real estate consumers obtain information of real estate through Internet, web-sites of real estate information have a great influence on the real estate market. Floods of false offerings and unproved information, however, make it hard to rely on lots of real estate information. In an effort to find a solution for such problems, this study considered theories, analyzed some relevant cases and surveyed real estate experts. Result of the survey about the problem of real estate information web-sites indicated that the most serious problem was false information rather than false offerings, and the type of damages a larger part of respondents had sustained was exaggerative advertisements and trading profit. Result of actual conditions and survey showed that there were a considerable number of false offerings and the largest part of respondents answered that they suffered “loss of time” due to false offerings, but few of them stated that they had suffered a pecuniary damage. They suggested supervision, punishment and voluntary restraints of real estate brokers as a preventive measure against false offerings. As it is difficult to eradicate false offerings of real estate under current real estate trading system, a concerted effort of consumers, real estate brokers, real estate information companies and the government is required for the eradication of false offerings.
