이 연구는 농촌의 국제결혼한 부부를 대상으로 성별에 따라 인지하는 행복의 수준과 이에 영향을 미치는 변인을 규명하기 위해 실시되었다. 연구결과에 의하면, 첫째, 남편들의 행복 수준은 결혼이민자인 아내들의 행복 수준보다 높았으나 이러한 차이가 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다. 둘째, 결혼만족도, (시)어머니 친밀도 변인은 아내와 남편 모두의 행복에 중요하게 정적으로 작용하였다. 이외에도 아내의 행복에는 생활수준, 결혼지속기간이 부적으로, 국제결혼생활 적응이 정적으로, 그리고 결혼생활교육 경험여부 변인이 유의하게 작용하였으며, 남편의 행복에는 부부의 긍정적인 상호작용이 유의하게 작용하였다. 결론적으로 아내와 남편의 행복수준이나 이에 영향을 미치는 변인은 성별에 따라 차이가 있었지만, 관계지향적이고 가족유대와 관련되는 변인들은 성별에 관계없이 부부 모두의 행복에 중요하게 작용하였다. 따라서 가족관계의 상호작용의 질을 향상하여 국제결혼한 농촌 부부의 행복을 향상하는 방안들이 다각적으로 모색되어야 한다고 본다.

This study aims to examine the happiness by gender in rural international marriage couples and the effect of related variables. Being Interested in whether there are differences in the factors that contribute to the relative happiness of women and men with reference to family lives, this research focuses on identify the comparative happiness by gender, and the factors contributing to the happiness of wife and husband of rural international marriage couples. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, happiness of husband appeared to be higher than that of wife, but the such difference was not significant. Second, as a result of regression analysis to examine the explanatory power of variables on happiness, marital satisfaction(β=.42,.45), and intimacy bond with mother(mother-in-law)(β=.14,.22) were effective variable in both of immigrant wife and husband. Except for these variable, for happiness of immigrant wife, living standard(β=-.14), marital duration(β=-.14), adjustment on marriage life(β=.19), and existence of education experience on marriage life(β=.18) affected significantly. For happiness of husband, positive interaction among the couple affected significantly.
