This experimental study was undertaken to observe the analgesic and antiphlogisitic effect of Herba Violae The results was obtained as follow; 1. The analgesic effect on each experimental group appeared in proportion to the amount of administration, that is to say, the more amount, the more effective. 2. The antiphlogistic action on each experimental group showed the recognizable effect in proportion to time and amount of administration. In consideration of the above-obtained results, it is thought that the antipyretic, antidotal and antiedematous effect of Herba Violae was good comparatively from the Oriental Medicinal point of viwe, therfore, it was worth applying to the treatment of surgical diseases in Oriental clinics.
