본 연구는 국내의 1996년부터 2006년까지의 학습장애아 교육 관련 연구를 중심으로 학습장애아교육의 연구동향을 분석하였다. 총 204편의 학습장애 관련 논문을 대상으로 연구유형, 연구주제, 연구대상에 대해 분석하고, 실험, 사례, 조사연구의 경우 학습장애 선별준거와 중재연구의 동향에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 연구방법별로는 실험연구, 문헌연구, 조사연구 순으로 이루어져 왔고 연구주제는 교수법과 읽기영역의 연구가 많았다. 연구대상은 학습장애를 가진 초등학생이 주를 이루었고 대상 선별준거로서는 지능검사, 학업성취도검사, 기초학습기능검사의 결과가 주로 사용되었다. 이러한 결과에 근거하여 향후 학습장애 연구의 방향을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to synthesize research trends in education for the students with learning disabilities(LD) by analyzing journal articles published in major journals from 1996 to 2006 in Korea. A total of 204 articles were analyzed in terms of research topics, methods, and participants. As for the empirical studies, selecting criteria for the participants and areas used for the intervention were examined. Results show that the most frequently used research method was experimental research followed by reviews of the literature and surveys. Topics of the research was mainly teaching/learning strategies and reading. The most targeted subjects were children with LD at elementary level. The major selection criteria were the results from intelligence tests, academic achievement tests, and Basic School Skills Inventory(BSSI). Based on the results, the implication for educating students with LD and future research issues were discussed.
