When establishing a port development plan, we must consider the way of regional networking that utilizes the strength of the near by cities since the development requires lots of capital investment. To be an international logistic center in the North-East-Asia Region at forthcoming 21st century, the port of Pusan should propel what it has planned and examine a plan to build up the logistics delta, which connect among cities those have core competence as a logistic channel. The connection among Pusan city, Masan city and Daegu city will be one of the best possible choices. As a strategic point of view, Pusan can be developed into a hub of distribution and financial center, and Masan can be developed into an export center for the manufacturing goods, such as electronics, electricity, machinery, fiber, and shoes. In addition to the above, Daegu with a large logistics site of more than 1 million pyung(3.3mi1 m2) can play a role as a domestic manufacturing and distribution center for the low-tech products those flow from Masan, and the mid & high-tech products those flow from the port of Pusan. Through the regional networking, the cities comprised in the logistics delta will attract foreign investment with ease, and the port of Pusan will sustain international competitive advantage continuously.
