Hydrogen ion is combined with water to form hydronium ion [H₃O^+] and pass through membrane resulting electricity generation. Thus, water vapor is added to supplied gas to maintain membrane conductivity. Humidifying gas is energy consuming process and needs many kinds of component. No humidifying condition could be applied in small scale fuel cell to improve efficiency and reduce system cost. However, it is difficult to operate large scale fuel cell without humidifying and especially higher than 50~60℃ according to the result presented in this paper. Compact field point(cFP) device is used to control fuel cell test station and acquire data as excel file. Automatic shut down logic was made using LabVIEW to avoid cell failure in case of sudden voltage drop. Performance mapping experiments were done at various anode and cathode relative humidity condition. The performance of no humidifying condition on anode was better than that of cathode. Further experiment is on going to analyze the above newly found phenomena.
