This is a study about the recognition of oriental medicine of Ryu,Sung - Ryung who was prime minister of Choson dynasty. by the record he has not so good health that keep interest about health and oriental medicine. moreover the end of the 16th century in his country has large war and famine.so that many people suffer from disease and poverty. in ordinary times he has much interest about welfare of the people. therefore he looks for the method of remedy. of course he was not a doctor, but he has fairly information of oriental medicine such as medicinal books and acupuncture and moxibustion. by this knowledge of medicine he compiled oriental medical books so to speak Uyhakbyunjungjinam(醫學辨證指南) and Chimguyogyul(鍼灸要訣),the former is for his families,the latter is for the poor people he recommends acupuncture and moxibustion for people,because it is cheap and convinient.
