This study is to present the ways of performing lyric experience to the poetry reader. Performing of lyric experience is very important in the education of poetry reading, because lyric experience is the outstanding way of poetry reading, that values the unique essence of poetry. It has been widely understood in conventional Poetics that the expression of agreement and union between the subject and the object is the kernel of lyricism. However, modern poetry has a tendency to deal with discord and crack as a main component rather than agreement and union, and accordingly modern poetry should be placed and explained under the category of lyricism. So it is necessary to understand the emotional reaction itself-it mainly appears in the process of subjective recognition about the world-as the core of lyricism. In addition, the effect of text that moves the reader and makes the reader react emotionally should also be regarded as the core of lyricism. Poetry reading by means of the way that respects the lyricism needs the lyric experience by reader in person. Because the lyric experience is the way of poetry reading that focuses on the emotional reaction of poetic subject and helps the reader make interest in his/her emotional condition. It is requested that the reader performs the role of the implied reader for the lyric experience. In the concrete, it is essentially required the reader to experience emotionally in poetry text as well as to understand the situation of poetry and to react emotionally outside the poetry text. Therefore the reader has got to recognize the role of the reader that his/her text requirs. And it will help him/her experence the identification with a speaker or a hearer by projecting himself/herself into the poetry text. Or it will help him/her experence a kind of empathy by transferring from the situation of speaker in poetry to the that of himself/herself. Or it will help him/her experence the sympathy by comprehending the condition of speaker and inferring the emotional condition. Consequently, it could be concluded that the above ways will enhance the reader`s ability of poetry reading and the reader will perform the lyric experience actively by those ways.
