본 연구는 중학생들의 자아개념과 진로성숙도와의 관계를 규명하기 위해 경기도 이천시 마장면에 소재한 M중학교 216명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과, 자아개념 하위요인들과 진로성숙도의 하위요인인 간에 정적 상관은 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 성별에 따른 자아개념 수준은 남학생 보다 여학생이 높게 나타났다. 또한 진로성숙도 수준에서도 여학생들의 평균이 높은 것으로 나타났으며 직업에 대한 태도에 있어서도 남학생보다 긍정적인 태도를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This study is that secondary school students take a measurement their self-concept. and then the result is verified relation between self-concept and career maturity. To begin with, we verified that relation was varied according with sex, grade. The sample is 216 students of `M middle school` in Majang myeon icheon city Gyeonggido. As a result, sub factors of self-concept and career maturity are shown positive correlation. According to sex, self-concept levels are that girl students are higher than boy students. career maturity is also that girl student`s average are higher than boy students that. Moreover, the fact which middle school student`s self-concept is positive correlation with career maturity is coincided with precedent study.
