Experiences regarding destination planning projects indicated that there were declines of investment fund value in real terms due to delays in the decision making processes and price hikes during this period, and, as a result, more time was needed for the destination development, although the plan had to be reduced in scales and sometimes the luxury was not realized and became economic facilities. There is need to investigate the coordination and fit between implementation components of destination development projects: leadership, organization, budgeting, supporting systems, compensation, culture, and evaluation and feedback. Total quality management concept can be used as a complementary basis to support strategy implementation. Case studies, experiments, and other studies are recommended to advance the knowledge regarding the strategy implementation process.
