본 연구에서는 진균과 토양에 의한 P(3HB-co-3HY) film의 생분해 특성을 검토하였다. Pseudomonas sp. HJ에 의하여 생산된 P(3HB-co-3HV)는 A. niger에 의하여 탄소원으로 이용되어 분해되었다. 따라서 ASTM 법이 분해성 플라스틱의 생분해도 평가에 적용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 토양 매몰시험의 변법인 pot-test를 실시한 결과, P(3HR-co-3HV) film은 30 에서 배양 30일만에 거의 100% 분해되었으며, 25℃에서는 배양 58일만에 약 79%가 분해되었다. 따라서 배양온도가 P(3HB-co-3HV)의 생분해성을 결정짓는 중요한 요인이라는 것을 알 수 있었다.

The biodegradable characteristics of poly (3-hydroxybutyric-co-3-hydroxyvaleric) acid [P(3HB-co-3HV)] film by fungi and soil burial are investigated. The growth of Aspergillus niger was apparent on the P (3HB-co-3HV) containing plate. Thus, P (3HB -CO-3HV) was biodegraded by the American Standards for Testing and Materials (ASTM) method. This suggests that P (3HB-co-3HV) was utilized as the sole carbon source by Aspergillus niger and ASTM method may have applications as measuring means of biodegradability of polyhydroxyalkanoic acid (PHA) family. The P (3HB-co-3HV) film was studied by monitoring the time-dependant changes in weight loss of P (3HB-co-3HV) film. As the results of pot -test, the P (3HB-co-3HV) film was completely decomposed in 30 days at 30, 79% in 58 days at 25.
