This study investigated the kindergarten teacher`s recognition of computer education in kindergarten and computer education in kindergarten and computer education practice in Korea. The specific research questions of this study were as follows; 1) What do kindergarten teachers think about computers? 2) What do kindergarten teachers think about computer education? 3) What is current computer education pracuce in kindergarten? Out of a total of 200 kindergarten teachers approached, 194 teachers responded to to the survey questionnaire of this study. The following are the results. 1) The preservice training of kindergarten teachers in computer education should be systematized. 2) The kindergarten teachers think that computer education shouid be included in the kindergarten curriculum. However they are concerned about the methods of computer education. 3) The main reason for the difficulties in introducing computer education to the kindergarten is insufficient research and guidelines on computer education.
