This study is concerned with the physical development of the Korean young children aged from three to six. The following items were measured and compared: the height, the weight, the height of the eye level, the length of the arm, the length of the leg, the length of the shoulder, the height of the knee, and the girth of the hip. There were significant differences in physical development according to the age level. There were also significant differences in physical development according to the areas where children live and the types of the institutes that they attend. That is, children in a city showed higher measure in physical development than children in a small town, and children attending a kindergarten showed higher measure than children attendin g a day care center (Saemaul Yuawon). The correlations between the lengths of the various physical parts were significant. The correlations between the height and other physical parts were most significant.
