The ability to describe something so that someone else can identify it is a basic language skill in communication. Especially for preschool children, such skills are necessary and become increasingly important to success in school in later years. In this study, an experimental approach was used for the study of methods for improving children`s communication skills in kindergarten. The design of the study was as follows : 1) 16 kindergarten children were subjects. 2) Pre-and-post-tests were used for comparison of two groups, control and experimental. 3) Games for improving communication skills were conducted. 4) The whole process of the games were tape recorded. 5) An analytic comparison was made by collected materials through a case study approach. The findings of the study were that 1) preschool children could achieve elaborated language skills through an intentional language training method;that is, ① the use of nouns increased more than pronouns, ② sentence length increased, ③ frequency of the use of key words increased, ④ sentence completion frequency increased. 2) Egocentricity in description of children changed during the training session;that is, children became able to describe others with a less egocentric approach.
