본고에서는 1950년대 <후반기> 동인의 시를 중심으로 한국 현대시와 영화의 영향관계에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. <후반기> 동인들이 보여준 영화에 대한 관심은 그들의 시에 고스란히 반영되어 1950년대 모더니즘 시의 특징적 일면을 형성하고 있다. 영화는 우선 <후반기> 동인이 추구했던 모더니즘의 회화적 조형성에 기본적인 영감을 제공하였다. 우리는 그들의 시에서 카메라의 눈 기법이나 영화적인 장면 전개방식을 만날 수 있는데, 이는 단순히 시각적인 이미지만을 강조하는 데 그치지 않고, 당대의 사회현실에 대한 비판의식을 드러내는 데도 일조한 것으로 보인다. 박인환의 서사성 짙은 현실주의 시들이 대표적인 예이다. 또한 프랑스의 아방가르드 영화운동은 <후반기>의 시세계에 특히 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 아방가르드 영화는 그 전위적인 이미지만으로도 <후반기> 동인들을 매료시켰고, 나아가 초현실주의 시의 기법적인 측면에도 많은 영향을 끼쳤다. 특히 조향은 `시네포엠`이라는 새로운 형식을 시도하여 시와 영화의 적극적인 갈래 교섭을 도모하는 한편, 암울한 현실사회에 대한 비판과 부정의식을 표명하고자 하였다. 한국 현대시와 영화의 영향관계는 1950년대 모더니즘 시에서 이미 본격화되었음을 알 수 있다. 전쟁으로 인해 폐허화된 한국 시단에서 영화는 그 새롭고 현대적인 면모로 <후반기> 동인들의 시세계에 중대한 영향을 미쳤던 것으로 보인다.

I studied about the 1950`s coterie in this thesis. They made a distinctive characteristic of 1950`s modern poetry was influenced by the films. The films gave basic inspiration for the pictorial visual imagery was sought by 1950`s modem poets. We can find some cinematic techniques on their poetry for example the camera-eye technique and the developing method of the cinematic scene. Those techniques were not limited to emphasize visual image, but reflected also the critical attitude toward the social problems of those days. Park In-Hwan`s narrative realistic poems were the representative case. Moreover, the French Avant-garde Films Movement had much influences on the poetry of . The avant-garde films held them spell bound with just the avant-garde image, and it had influence on their surrealistic techniques. Especially, Cho Hyang experimented on the Cine-Poem, a new formality that was experimented the basis of the cinematic technique. He intended to appear the criticism and the negation about those day`s pessimistic reality. According to this study, we can find the relationship of the influence between Korean modern poetry and the films was become serious in the 1950`s already. The films had very important influence on the poetry of with the new modem aspect.
