Microcapsules containing polystyrene-coated electrophoretic Ti0₂ particle suspension as a core material were synthesized via an in-situ polymerization using urea/melamineformaldehyde (UIM-F) resin as a wall material. The particle suspended in an oil phase remains as stable droplets in an aqueous anionic encapsulating medium and then is enveloped by the UIM-F resin. The obtained microcapsules were found to have a diameter of SO -300 ㎛.
