Analysis on the Marketing Efficiency of Marketing Channels in Angelica gigas

The purpose of this study is to identify current marketing practices and marketing channels of Angelica gigas, which is one of major alpine corps, and analyze marketing efficiency or marketing channels, we found that major marketing channels of Angelica gigas are classified into three types : (1) assemblers’ leading channel(type Ⅰ), (2)processing-wholesalers’ leading channel(type Ⅱ), and (3) producers’ organization leading channel(type Ⅲ). According to the estimated result of operational efficiency of marketing channels, marketing efficiency of type Ⅲ was relatively higher than type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ.
