본 연구는 영화를 활용하여 지형 수업을 실시한 후 학생들이 제출한 질문지를 분석하여 지형 이해의 수준 및 효과를 고찰한 것이다. 영화를 활용한 수업을 실시한 결과, 학생들의 지형 이해는 다양한 수준 차이를 보였다. 수업에 참여한 대부분의 학생들이 개별 지형의 형태와 형성원인을 상세히 표현할 수 있었다. 수업을 들은 학생 중 절반 정도가 지형형성과정에 대해 이해하였으나, 영상 자료에 나타난 지형 내용을 분석적으로 이해한 학생은 소수에 불과하였다. 수업 후 제출한 학생들의 질문지 분석을 통해 영상 자료를 활용한 수업이 학생들의 학업 성취 정도, 수업의 만족도, 흥미도, 이해도, 사고력 신장, 그리고 집중도 측면에서 일정 부분 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of the study is to analyse students` reconstruction of geomorphological contents and investigate what kind of understanding can be made through audio-visual materials. The analysis of the students` response to films used in instruction shows that students may understand differently patterns of geomorphological understanding through the same instruction. While most students were able to understand the geomorphological form and background, 52% of students were able to express the understanding of geomorphological processes, and few showed the analytical instruction contributes to the construction of systematic knowledge, the expansion of thinking method and empathy, and film is very effective implement for stimulating students` geomorphological interest and motive in instruction.
