이 연구는 청소년의 문화복지 실태와 만족도 및 요구 사항을 가정의 사회경제적 지위에 따른 비교를 중심으로 비교분석 하였다. 이를 위해 충청지역의 중ㆍ고등학교에 재학중인 학생 1181명을 대상으로 여가 및 사회참여, 공연관람 및 예술활동, 정보통신, 방송ㆍ영상 및 인쇄매체, 유해환경 부문에 대한 실태와 만족도 및 요구사항을 조사하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 첫째, 청소년의 문화복지실태는 전반적으로 그 활동 내용이 획일적이며 주로 소극적이고 수동적인 활동에만 국한되어 있다는 것이다. 더욱이 다른 문화복지 부문과 비교해 볼 때 공연관람이나 예술활동 감상과 같은 순수예술활동에 대한 청소년들의 향유정도와 접근 및 관심 자체가 타부문보다 현저히 낮은 반면, 컴퓨터와 관련한 활동은 상대적으로 더 선호하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 문화복지 장애요인을 살펴보면, 전반적으로 경제적 문제, 시간적 문제, 정보와 지식 부족의 문제, 시설설비 부족의 문제로 범주화 해 볼 수가 있으며 이는 사회경제적 지위가 높을수록 시간적 문제와 정보와 지식 부족의 문제가 장애요인으로 대두되는 반면 사회경제적 지위가 낮을수록 경제적 문제와 시설설비 부족의 문제가 대두되었다. 셋째, 청소년 문화복지 수준을 향상시키기 위해 청소년들이 요구하는 사항은 대표적으로 문화복지실현을 위한 인프라(infra)로서의 시설기반 자원 확보에 대한 것이었고 특히 이에 대한 요구는 사회경제적 지위가 낮을수록 더 컸다. 넷째, 청소년의 문화복지 부문별 만 족도를 살펴본 결과 모든 부문에서 그 만족 정도가 `조금 불만족한다 ～ 보통이다` 사이로 나타났고 이는 사회경제적 지위가 높을수록 더 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 청소년 문화복지와 관련하여 이론적, 실제적, 방법론적 측면에서 논의하고 제언하였다.

In this study, Purpose of research were presenting foundational data in order to promote cultural wellbeing state of youth. For this purpose, this study investigate cultural wellbeing state of youth than inquire their satisfaction and needs by Social Economic Status(S.E.S.). Participants are middle-school freshman and sophomore, general high-school and vocational high-school freshman and sophomore. Survey consist 128 items and total volume of reply is 1181. The subjects of this study are as followed. 1. How s cultural wellbeing state of youth by Social Economic Status(S.E.S.)? 2. How`s cultural wellbeing satisfaction of youth and there are any difference by Social Economic Status(S.E.S.)? 3. What s cultural wellbeing needs of youth and there are any difference by Social Economic Status(S.E.S.)? The results of this study are as followed. First, in cultural activity, many contents are monotonous and passive. Youth Second, youth interest in computer related activity than pure art as public performance. Second, Youth cultural wellbeing`s obstacles can be categorized as lack of money, lack of time, lack of information and lack of cultural facilities which youth can use in cultural activity. In higher S.E.S. cases lack of time and informations are issued but, in lower S.E.S. cases lack of money and facilities are complied. Third, the needs of youth to improve their cultural wellbeing status are emphasize on supplement of cultural facility as infrastructure. This needs stronger in lower social economic status than others. Forth, youth`s satisfaction are generally appeared between `little unsatisfied` and `neutral`. It seems the higher S.E.S. youth are more satisfied than others.
