A landowner system(地主制) and a circulation economy was developed by the increase of productivity in the end of 15th century. Silver nunes in Dancheon(端川) and others were actively worked in the 15th century. As Chosun imported foods from China such as Saraneungdan(紗羅綾緞), most of silver flowed out China. Also there o?as a boom in mine exploitation in Japan and a great quantity of siver form Japan flowed into Chosun. In result, Triangular Trade among Chosun, China, and Japan developed and a domestic circulation economy improved In the end of 15th century, life and culture patterns in Chosun dynasty on the basis of Neo-Confucianism(性理學) and agricultural economy began to change suddenly. A culture given to luxury and pleasure began to spread in Seoul, Gaeseong(開城), and others. Also the consumption of alcoholic liquors increased. Because the raw material of rice wine was corn such as rice, wheat, and others, it was accompanied by the increase of grain demand. Therefore, it raised many problems such as the rise of grain price and the spread of sumptuous moods. Widely spreading the trend of drinking and increasing the trade of alcoholic liquors, the Government issued and enforced prohibitions of drinking. They were issued every tow years. While Gyeonggukdaejeon(『經國大典』) or Daejeonsongnok(『大典續錄』) didn`t refer to prohibitions of drinking in detail, Daejeonhusongnok(『大典後續錄』) provided for in the laws which prohibited the use of distilled liquor brewed from rice, with the exception of one used to the sick. However, it proved to be a dead letter, for the ruling and wealthy classes didn`t conform to the prohibiton of drinking. Sumptuous moods which began in clothes spreaded as a private foreign trade(私貿易) developed. As Consumption goods changed from ones made in Japan to ones made in China domestic consumption began to change in its quantity and quality. Sumptuous moods spreaded from the ruling classes to the lower classes, from houses and clothes to miscellaneous goods, and to a capital from province. It caused disorder in the feudal status order as the lower class which made a fortune by trade took part in it. The Government considered the spread of sumptuous moods serious, because it could raise a serious problem in Chosun dynasty on the basis of Neo-Confucianism and agricultural economy. They continued to issue prohibitions of Luxury which restricted houses, clothes and others according to social position in the end 15th century. Sumptuous moods at that time had relation to import of a large a great of goods from China. The Government enforced Acts which restricted or prohibited an outflow of Silver(禁銀令) and considered even assertion to prohibit private trade with China serious. However, The Government`s efforts were in vain, for the ruling class took the main part in sumptuous moods and acted In collusion with wealthy merchants so that make a profit on trade of luxuries.
