부산지역경제의 전략에 있어 항상 핵심쟁점이 되고 있는 부산지역 제조업 통계는 현재 기본적인 시계열 통계조차 갖추고 있지 못하고, 또 일부 公刊 통계마저 신뢰성이 의심되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 우선 첫 연구로 (1) 부산의 제조업과 관련된 국내외 유사 통계를 포함한 모든 통계를 찾고, (2) 이를 기초로 부산의 제조업 통계를 환산, 수정, 정비할 수 있는 방법과 메뉴얼을 제시하면서, (3) 실질적인 차후연구를 위한 기초자료값으로서의 1945년 이후 부산의 제조업 통계를 일차적으로 정비한 후, (4) 장기 생산자 물가지수를 구해 경상가격과 불변가격으로 정리하고 (5) 통계적인 단층으로 나타나는 기간을 중심으로 경제적 정합성을 검토한다.

This study is composed of four-step processes. The first step is to collect every available data about the manufacturing sector in Busan, 1945-2000. The second is to correct the errors in the published manufacturing statistics of Busan. With the results after these two steps, we make a time-series data of the Busan manufacturing sector in 1945-2000 both in current and constant value. Finally we review the correlation between the economic situation and the data based on the series.
