The purpose of this study is to analyze the elements of the view of vocation of junior college students and their vocational choice, and to suggest the direction toward forming a proper view of vocation and a desirable careers guidance. In this study, 640 junior college students including D, health junior college, D. junior college, and Y, junior college in Dae-gu City are served as the subjects. And by using a questionnaire, investigated the three major aspects (total, 11 items): career information (1 item). view of vocation (6 items): and aptitude and future career (4 items). The results of this study are the following: 1. Most students gain career information from their friends and seniors, and mass media, not from school. Consequently, the thoughtful consideration of finance and policy is requested which can offer systematic information in school, in order that they may easily adapt themselves to their environment. 2. Most students consider aptitude as the criterion of their vocational choice and vocation as the means of displaying their ability, and ability, expertise, as the condition of employment and promotion. As mentioned above, we can see that they have a desirable vocational sense. 3. The entrance motive of students shows that they matriculate by their high school record, not by their aptitude; accordingly, when they choose a vocation in the actual life, they have the results different from the criterion of their vocational choice in the light of their vocational sense. But it is found that a great number of students are generally satisfied with their course of study, special study and subject of it. 4. Most students are not equipped with sufficient ability requisite for them to commence work. therefore, from the educational point of view of a two-year junior college course, their constant efforts are required in order to improve their skill and obtain a certificate of qualifications during their short school days for two years.
