The primary purpose of present study was to investigate the relationship between body transplant and development of identity in childhood. Three questions for this study were exaimed. 1) Was there difference in ego-identity according to grade? 2) Was there difference in ego-identity according to body-transplant direction? 3) Was there difference in ego-identity according to body-transplant part? In Experiment 1, the subjects were 120 kindergarten and elementary school students. To analyze the outcoming results of this experiment, Chi-square method was employed. In experiment 2, the subjects were 60 elementary students. To analyze the outcoming results of this experiment, ANOVAs were employed. Based on data generated from this study, the following conclusions seem warranted: 1) There was significant difference in ego-identity according to grade. 2) There was not significant difference in ego-identity according to body transplant direction. 3) There was significant difference in identity according to body transplant body part.
