The purpose of this study was to prepare a plan for efficient vocational training for the middle aged unemployed and ultimately to reconsider their ability to get re-employed through the case studies of vacational training in japan. Based on the results of the study, the following policy suggestions were made: First, instead of standardized vacational training, a method to fit the characteristics of an individual should be prepared. Second, since middle aged want the similar jobs that they previously worked in or simple office works, the creation for this kind of work is needed. Third, for the retired and the expectant retired, provide them with job-hunting program.
