본 연구는 농촌지역의 부모교육 및 상담 프로그램의 활성화를 위한 지원모형을 개발하기 위하여 수행되었으며, 이를 위하여 문헌고찰과 선행연구의 분석 그리고 농촌 지역의 요구분석을 통하여 4가지 지원 모형을 개발하였다. 개발된 모형은 첫째, 농촌지역 유아교육모형, 둘째 농촌지역 유아 상담 모형, 셋째, 농촌지역 부모교육 모형, 넷째, 농촌지역 유아교육자문기구 구성 모형이다. 개발된 모형은 농촌지역의 인적 자원을 최대한 활용할 수 있도록 고려되었다.

We developed parents consulting and education programs on following fields for the parents who suffer from problems in raising children: The desirable method and skills of bringing up children; Professional knowledge on child development; Understanding child psychology to solve problem activities; consulting family violence and preventing it. This consulting & education program for parents of rural communities is consisted in 4 parts, which are general summary and each practical activity programs (parents education; play guide; handicapped children). The following is a short summery. 1. The general summary: Researching theoretical background on consulting and educating parents in rural communities; Surveying present state and level of satisfaction/demand on present rural community programs for parents education. We presented a direction for parents education that we can apply on Korean rural communities based on this, developed and presented models regarding rural community parents education. 2. Parents education program is centered round on various examples so that the parents of rural communities can recognize their children`s level of development and childhood needs. 3. Play guide program is planned so that the parents can interact and play with their children at rural regions, and also includes various situations and cases. 4. Consulting handicapped children program introduces cases of abnormal state of mind and development that appear in movies and reports the characteristics, causes and examples of abnormal activities. This also mentions various cases appeared at the specialized consulting institutions in practice.
