We successfully corrected the alar defect, of nose with free composite graft from the ear. In relatively small defects of the alar region, it has been more recommendable than any other methods, such as pedicle skin grafts. It`s advantages are as follows; 1. It can be performed at one-stage procedure. 2. Its colour match is harmonious with recipient site. 3. Also, its texture is similar with recipient site. 4. Its outline is similar with ala nasi in marginal curve and thickness. But it can not be employed in a large defects of nose.
